Can you Handle the Cube?
Survive '2 Days in the Cube' and you could drive home a winner.

I guess you could think of it as camping. Except for the fact that it’s smack dab in the middle of Cedar Beach during Mayfair. And instead of enjoying the fresh air and the great outdoors, you would have new car smell and the companionship of four complete strangers for an entire weekend.

So, not like camping. But if you can stick it out you could be driving home in a 2010 Nissan Cube courtesy of Rothrock Nissan.

The concept behind '2 Days in a Cube' sounds simple — tough out a weekend trapped inside a car and get people to vote for you as their favorite Cube dweller. However, besides suriving the cramped quarters and trying to win the votes of the crowd, contestants will also have to participate in wacky contests inside the vehicle.

"It’s not going to be easy, but it will certainly be entertaining," says Morning Call Marketing Manager Christine Cleever. "We are looking for people with lots of personality. In general, the more outlandish, the better."

That's because all the antics will be captured on video by RCN and streamed online. In fact, the car will have four video cameras installed through out the vehicle. Yes, four. Which means not even a sneeze or casual nose pick will go by without being caught in action.

Sound like fun? Contestants will also be allowed “bio breaks” to handle nature’s business inside the lavish Mayfair port-o-johns.

There’s no calling shotgun either. Everyone inside the Cube will rotate seats on a set schedule so each contestant will have the pleasure of spending time in middle of the back seat.

But let’s get back to what’s important here — when it’s all over you could be riding around town in a 2010 Nissan Cube.

So what you really need to know is this — head to Rothrock Nissan for the preliminary auditions and you could be spending your Memorial Day weekend (May 29 - May 31) living inside a Nissan Cube. And, if you’re lucky enough, you might be spending your days after Mayfair driving a new car.
